How It Works
So how do the three different types of tours work? See the information below 'How to Book' for all the details. If you have any queries, please contact us.
Step 1 Choose which tour you want or ask us to tailor an itinerary for you. Request more information through our Enquiry page or call us on (0414) 799 722 (from outside Australia: +61 2414 799 722).
Step 2 Our sales team will contact you by phone or email to discuss your needs and provide the best value quote.
Step 3 Pay a deposit through our Make A Booking page. Confirmation will be sent to you by email.
Step 4 Purchase a flight to arrive at your destination in time for the first activity on your itinerary.
Step 5 Make your final payment to Golf & Gourmet Travel and your full itinerary and booking details will be sent to you.
Enjoy your trip!
Support services
At any time on your trip, if you need assistance, we provide 24-hour on-call support to our clients and we also have international partners that can help you ‘on the ground’.
Make a booking...
1.We do the dirty work.
If you want to travel alone or with a friend or partner, we do all the groundwork for you. Call us or fill in a Booking Enquiry and we will book your preferred accommodation, car hire, golf club hire, tee times, sightseeing tours and transfers.
2. Dream up the perfect golf course.
Let us know if you want to play a particular course or if you would like ocean views, a wildlife setting or a winery down the road. We will incorporate your dreams into your itinerary.
3. Find-a-local!
We can even find you a golfing buddy. If you are going overseas and would like to play golf with a local, a group of locals or other travellers, we can arrange it in almost any country in the world.
4. BYO golf clubs or hire
The choice is yours – either bring your own golf clubs or ask us to organise hire at your destination.
5. Meet and greet.
We can provide a representative to meet you at the airport when you arrive at your destination. Alternatively we can arrange transfers to your hotel with or without the meet-and-greet service.
6. The holiday begins.
Pick up your hire car, check into your hotel and relax before your first day of golf. Your itinerary will include all the details and directions. Enjoy!
Independent Tour List...
1. You select a tour.
Choose from a wide range of our group holidays (maximum 15 guests) around Australia, New Zealand, the South Pacific and beyond. Call us or fill in a Booking Enquiry.
2. We lead the way.
A professional guide will organise everything from meeting you at the airport, picking you up from the hotels, booking tee times, transporting you from course to course and leading the sightseeing and other activities.
3. BYO golf clubs or hire.
The choice is yours – either bring your own golf clubs or ask us to arrange hire at your destination. The cost will be added to your quote, and it might save you excess baggage charges at the airport!
4. The holiday begins.
Meet at the airport or check into your hotel and relax before your first day of golf. Your itinerary will include all the details and directions. Enjoy.
5. Book your next GG tour.
One you’ve experienced ‘the science of fun’ with us, we’re sure you’ll be back for more!
Escorted and Group Tour List...
1. Choose a tournament.
Call us or fill in a Booking Enquiry form.
2. Join a team.
Organise your own team or come as an individual and we will assign you to a team looking for players.
3. Come along for the ride.
We organise your accommodation, gourmet food and beverages (depending on which trip you choose), transport and entry to the tournament.
4. Meet your team.
In most cases, the group will meet a day or two before the tournament and have practice rounds on other top golf courses around the country.
5. Compete in the tournament.
No matter what your handicap, you will enjoy competing for prizes in the big game, which is always followed by much frivolity at the 19th hole!
6. The golf continues… and continues…
After the tournament, there is more golf at other courses around the country. This is when we usually discuss which tournament we’ll all compete in next year!
